It’s been way too long since I last posted. I’m somewhat against the concept of New Year’s resolutions these days as they tend to be the “things most likely not to stick.” That being said, I really would like to blog more consistently this year.
The New Year has been a busy one so far, it was especially difficult to get back into the swing of things with homeschooling, for me as well as the kids. We had such a relaxed Christmas break that none of us wanted it to end.
2014 brought many changes, not the least of which was my mom’s breast cancer diagnosis in late summer. This month she rang the bell for her last chemo treatment before her mastectomy which should happen sometime in February.
I have some finished projects that I’ll post when I get around to uploading the pictures. I made a few hats for mom’s lovely bald head and I made her a relaxed shawl/shrug. I made brightly colored scarves as Christmas gifts for my nieces, and I’m currently working on another prayer shawl.
My oldest turns 18 this month. I can write it but I can’t really wrap my head around it. It’s too much. In my mind he’s still 3 and he wants to be Superman when he grows up, he uses the sofa as a trampoline, loves to play hide & seek and waves to every single person on our walks.
He can’t be an adult. I’m not ready.
